Airsofts and Trainings
Over the past several months,
we have been training models and actors to achieve authentic tactics
in both cyberspace and meatspace.
As part of this process,
we have conducted several tests at Higgsfield to transform our
images into a cinematic look; that high-end, prestige camera vibe.
This was a deliberate test to push beyond the current gatekeeping
in Kenya that has been preventing us from building prestige,
high-IQ shows capable of upgrading people’s thinking and educating
the public on current affairs and geopolitics that affect our daily lives.
In the photo below,
we tested a Walther PDP that we built using a few materials at home.
The handgun is almost the size of a Baby-Glock and will be handled by
a character named Tash in our upcoming show “Last Rites”.
Range shooting and testing new Airsofts
Building a smaller handgun is usually complex,
especially when it comes to assembling the springs for
the right pull weight while sourcing parts locally.
Importing components is also quite challenging in Kenya.
However, at Badlands Airsoft, we manage despite the
current difficulties in the country.
We are able to build all types of airsoft replicas that
we’ll need for our upcoming films and shows.

You can also spot an MCK carbine on set.
While MCK builds are usually designed for handguns-into carbine push,
we managed to suppress this one too.
If you look closely,
you’ll notice the suppressor is made from PVC.
The character meant to use it in the show is Shad from Last Rites.
We have been training him in shoot-move-comm drills,
and starting this month, he will begin CQC and CQB classes,
thus turning him into the operator the story needs.
MCK Development for Last Rites
With several projects in the pipeline that includes adaptations of my books,
we’re working day and night to bring these dreams to life.
We encourage more people to join us and we get to innovate together.

No matter the current political issues that continue to undermine the economic
liberalization that we so much need,
I believe we can still achieve a lot before the next government comes in next year.
